Assistant Professor Anatomy

1. Core Objective

To facilitate the foundational learning of human anatomy for first-year medical students through modern pedagogical methods, hands-on dissection, and clinical integration.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Dissection:

  • Conduct cadaveric dissections and demonstrate prosected parts to MBBS students.

     

  • Lead histology practicals, including slide identification and microscopic anatomy.

  • Facilitate Small Group Discussions (SGD) and Self-Directed Learning (SDL) sessions as per the CBME curriculum.

• Assessment & Mentorship:

  • Prepare and grade internal assessment papers (theory and practical).

     

  • Maintain student performance records and logs.

  • Act as a Foundation Course mentor for new MBBS entrants.

• Research & Professional Growth:

  • Initiate original research and participate in departmental projects.

     

  • Aim for publications in indexed journals to qualify for future promotion.

  • Assist in the maintenance of the Anatomy Museum and departmental library.
