To educate first-year medical students (MBBS) and allied health students on the functional aspects of human organ systems, ensuring they understand the physiological basis of health and disease through integrated teaching and practical laboratory sessions.
Academic Teaching & Delivery:
Deliver interactive lectures on core topics such as Hematology, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Renal, and Endocrine Physiology.
Facilitate Small Group Discussions (SGD) and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) sessions.
Implement Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) by linking physiological concepts to bedside clinical findings.
Laboratory & Practical Supervision:
Conduct hematology practicals (blood cell counts, hemoglobin estimation, blood grouping).
Demonstrate clinical physiology examinations (pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and cranial nerve examinations).
Operate and teach the use of modern diagnostic tools like ECG machines, Spirometers, and Perimeters.
Manage digital simulation labs for experimental physiology (replacing traditional animal experiments).
Assessment & Mentorship:
Design and conduct internal assessments, including theory papers and OSPE (Objective Structured Practical Examination).
Serve as a mentor for a designated batch of students, tracking their academic progress and well-being.
Research & Professional Development:
Initiate original research projects and aim for at least two publications in indexed journals to qualify for future promotion.
Assist in the maintenance of departmental records for NMC and NAAC inspections.
