Associate Professor- Anatomy

Key Responsibilities:

• Teaching:

  • Deliver lectures and practical sessions in anatomy for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
  • Supervise dissections and laboratory work, ensuring a high standard of education.
  • Develop and update course materials, ensuring alignment with the curriculum.

• Research:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in anatomy and related fields.
  • Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and contribute to advancements in the field.
  • Apply for research funding and oversee research projects.

• Academic Leadership:

  • Mentor students, guide academic projects, and assist in their professional development.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees related to curriculum planning and development.
  • Assist in the assessment of student performance (exams, practicals, etc.).

• Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with clinical departments to integrate anatomy into clinical teaching.
  • Engage in inter-departmental and interdisciplinary research and teaching activities.

• Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in the administration and management of the anatomy department.
  • Support the organization of workshops, seminars, and conferences.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
  • MBBS 
  • MD in Anatomy or equivalent; Ph.D. preferred.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in anatomy at a medical school.
  • Proven research experience with published work in reputable journals.
