Consultant Endocrinology

 Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care
  • Diagnose and manage endocrine disorders (diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, metabolic syndrome, obesity, osteoporosis).
  • Provide consultations for complex cases referred by general physicians or other specialists.
  • Prescribe and monitor medical therapies, including insulin regimens and hormone replacement therapies.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration
  • Work closely with diabetologists, cardiologists, nephrologists, gynecologists, and surgeons.
  • Participate in tumor boards for endocrine cancers (thyroid, adrenal, pituitary).
• Procedures & Interventions
  • Perform fine-needle aspiration (FNA) for thyroid nodules.
  • Guide surgical interventions when required (thyroidectomy, adrenalectomy).
• Research & Teaching
  • Contribute to clinical research, publish papers, and train junior doctors or medical students.
• Patient Education
  • Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, diet, and long-term disease management.

💼Qualifications

• MBBS → MD (General Medicine) → DM (Endocrinology) (3-year super-specialty training).
