The Consultant OB-GYN will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to female patients, specializing in pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system. The role involves managing outpatient clinics (OPD), inpatient care (IPD), emergency calls, and performing major and minor surgical procedures.
Provide expert consultation for general gynecological issues, infertility, menstrual disorders, PCOS, and menopausal health.
Deliver high-quality prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care to expectant mothers.
Manage high-risk pregnancies, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and other obstetric complications.
Conduct regular ward rounds for admitted patients and coordinate post-operative care.
Perform minor procedures, including Pap smears, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and IUIs.
Lead major surgeries including normal deliveries, Cesarean sections (C-sections), abdominal/vaginal hysterectomies, and myomectomies.
Execute advanced minimally invasive surgeries, such as diagnostic and therapeutic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.
Respond promptly to obstetric and gynecological emergencies (e.g., ectopic pregnancy, postpartum hemorrhage, acute pelvic pain).
Participate in the hospital’s on-call rotation roster to ensure 24/7 patient coverage.
Maintain highly accurate, detailed, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) for all patients.
Adhere strictly to hospital clinical protocols, infection control guidelines, and national medical council standards.
Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including Pediatrics/Neonatology, Anesthesia, and Critical Care units.
