Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Surgeon to diagnose, treat, and manage conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system. The role involves managing both traumatic injuries and degenerative conditions, utilizing both surgical interventions and non-surgical therapies (such as casting, splinting, and lifestyle/rehabilitation recommendations) to restore patient mobility and improve quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Consultation & Diagnosis: Evaluate patients presenting with bone, joint, ligament, muscle, or tendon issues. Order and interpret diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.

• Surgical Interventions: Perform surgical procedures to repair, replace, or salvage musculoskeletal structures. This includes fracture fixations (plating, nailing), joint replacements (knee, hip, shoulder), arthroscopic (keyhole) surgeries, and soft tissue/ligament repairs.

• Non-Surgical Care: Administer conservative treatments where surgery isn't immediately required, including joint injections, applying casts, splints, or braces, and managing medical management for pain/inflammation.

• Pre- and Post-Operative Management: Oversee complete patient care timelines, from pre-surgical counseling and planning to post-operative follow-ups, wound care, and recovery tracking.

• Rehabilitation Coordination: Collaborate closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and rehab teams to design effective recovery pathways for patients.

• Emergency & On-Call Coverage: Participate in the hospital’s on-call roster to provide immediate, life-saving care for trauma and acute orthopedic emergencies.

• Documentation: Maintain precise, detailed, and legally compliant electronic health records (EHR) covering patient history, surgical notes, and care plans.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: MBBS followed by an MS or DNB in Orthopedics from a recognized medical institution.

• Licensure: Valid and active registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Council.

• Experience: Open to both fresh postgraduates (for junior roles) and experienced consultants. [Note: You can specify a range, e.g., 2–5+ years post-MS/DNB based on the hierarchy of the position].
